Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Psalm 101:6-8 declares that the faithful shall dwell with God, deceit will be banished from His house, and the wicked will be removed from the city, cleansing the community of wrongdoing.
Neville's Inner Vision
The verse is not a decree about distant lands but a map of your inner weather. Mine eyes are the focus of awareness; I choose the faithful state as the land in which I dwell. When I walk in a perfect way, I serve the I AM within, and the outer manifests the inward order. Deceit and lying cannot inhabit my inner temple; to tell lies is to rent space from truth, and I refuse. The line about destroying the wicked is not a threat, but a natural shedding of habits that masquerade as reality but do not fit the now-claimed wholeness. I understand that the city of the LORD is an inner city, a kingdom sustained by truth and fidelity; it is where my true nature resides and where I awaken to it more fully each day. As I hold this inner standard, my thoughts, feelings, and actions align with righteousness, and the outer world slowly reflects that alignment. The Psalm invites me to live as if the Kingdom, not decay, governs my consciousness.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and enter your inner city as if you are the faithful dwelling with the Lord. In the present now, affirm 'I am the faithful I AM, my inner city is holy, deceit cannot inhabit it' and feel that reality stamp itself on your being.
