Read Psalms 101 in context

Scripture Focus

5Whoso privily slandereth his neighbour, him will I cut off: him that hath an high look and a proud heart will not I suffer.
6Mine eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me: he that walketh in a perfect way, he shall serve me.
7He that worketh deceit shall not dwell within my house: he that telleth lies shall not tarry in my sight.
Psalms 101:5-7

Biblical Context

Psalm 101:5-7 presents inner boundaries: slander and deceit are excluded from the inner sanctuary. Fidelity, truthfulness, and a perfect walk invite the divine presence to dwell within.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within the fabric of your awareness, God is the I AM that notices everything. The verse speaks to your inner community: to privately slander a neighbor is to create a vibration that cuts off your unity with the good you seek. A high look and a proud heart are not the position of your true self, but a refusal to acknowledge your indivisible oneness with the whole. The faithful of the land are those quiet, virtuous states of consciousness that dwell with you when you walk in a perfect way. If you entertain deceit or tell lies in your mental kitchen, you are telling yourself that your dwelling is unsafe; such thoughts cannot remain in the house. Practice now: close your eyes and declare, in the first-person I AM, that you dwell with the faithful, that you walk perfectly, and that truth is your only language. Your imagination will either build the temple or tear it down; choose the standard of integrity and watch your inner palace become a reality you live from.

Practice This Now

Assume the perception: I dwell with the faithful and walk in a perfect way. For five minutes, feel it as real and revise every creeping thought of deceit into that vision.
