Guarding The Eye: Inner Integrity
Psalms 101:3 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
It states a firm resolve to guard what the eyes behold and to despise the crooked paths of others. What one allows in the imagination does not cling to the self.
Neville's Inner Vision
Think of Psalm 101:3 as a statement from the I AM within you. I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes is not a command from the outer world, but a policy of consciousness you declare and live by. The images that tempt you—little sins, sensational scenes, or injurious judgments—are not reality until you consent to them with attention. By assuming the feeling of the I AM as clean, whole, and inviolate, you disallow corrupt images from taking root. The work of them that turn aside is simply a story in your mind about what life should be; you hate that story not by fighting it, but by returning your awareness to your chosen state. When you act from the I AM, the thought-forms of doubt and harm cannot cleave to you; they evaporate in the heat of your steadfast imagination. You are not resisting reality; you are aligning with your own inner reality, which renders all else harmless.
Practice This Now
Assume for a moment the I AM within you is the watcher who will not permit wicked images to pass before your eyes. When a tempting vision arises, revise by saying I am pure; such images do not cling to me, and feel this truth in your chest as you breathe.
