Inner Perfect Heart Practice
Psalms 101:2 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Psalms 101 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verse commits to wise, devout living and a pure heart, inviting the divine presence to dwell in the inner home of the mind.
Neville's Inner Vision
I know that the I AM, the divine awareness within, is my true self. The verse is a declaration that I will choose a state of wisdom and walk as one with a perfect heart inside my inner house. The question, O when wilt thou come unto me, becomes my invitation to awaken to that presence now, not later. In my world, places are dispositions; the house is my mind and feelings; when I decide to live wisely, I am inviting God to come into my experience. Therefore I do not wait for external change; I assume the end remains mine. I practice by dwelling in the feeling of the wish fulfilled: I am wise, I am pure, I walk with a perfect heart. The external life rearranges to reflect this inner alignment, and seeing through the eyes of consciousness, I recognize miracles as ordinary outcomes of inner truth.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume you are now living with a perfect heart; feel the inner room of your mind radiant with discernment. Then act from this state, letting wisdom shape every thought and deed as evidence that God is arriving within you.
