Biblical Context
Psalm 10:8-10 depicts a hidden predator threatening the vulnerable. In Neville's lens, the 'poor' represent lack-consciousness and the predator is a fear-based belief arising in the mind.
Neville's Inner Vision
Viewed as states, the lurking places and snares are not 'out there' but within your own consciousness. The 'poor' are the felt lack; the predator is the stubborn belief in scarcity that pretends to govern your world. When you hear of him watching from hidden villages, recognize this as the persistence of fear and greed in your thought, waiting to draw attention away from your I AM, which is awareness itself. The lion in wait is the unyielding rhythm of sense-appeal, the net is the pattern you have woven from past lacks, and the humility of the predator is the old self bowing to a stronger life you are capable of becoming. This psalm invites you to reverse the drama: identify your inner I AM occupying the throne of that scene, and feel the fullness that belongs to you as consciousness. By assuming the state of abundance and living from that assumption, the scene rearranges, the oppressor dissolves, and you awaken to the power that was always yours.
Practice This Now
Assume the state of fullness now and feel it in your chest as your own I AM. Revise the scene so the predator bows to your inner awareness, and the 'poor' is your realized self.
