Inner Sight of Deceit and Justice
Psalms 10:7-10 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Psalms 10 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The passage portrays a deceitful oppressor whose words and hidden plots harm the innocent and prey on the poor, waiting like a lion to trap them. It reveals the inner dynamics of predatory fear at work.
Neville's Inner Vision
Psalm 10:7–10 speaks from a mode of consciousness that imagines power through fear and predation. The mouth that curses and deceives is not a mere person, but the inner chatter of scarcity and control; the lurking in the villages and the lion’s den are the hidden corners of thought where threat is believed and the innocent are cast as prey. The 'poor' symbolize vulnerable aspects of your own being; identify with this voice and you bind yourself to conflict. The remedy is to awaken to the I AM, your self-existent awareness that governs your world. Realize you are not the victim of another's tongue but the inventor of reality through attention and belief. By assuming the state of justice, protection, and compassion, you dissolve the predator’s power. When you feel it real that you are that awareness, the outer scene loses coercive force; the so-called killer instincts fade as you align with unity, abundance, and the true ruling of consciousness.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Assume the I AM state now; revise the inner dialogue to affirm justice and protection, and visualize the predator dissolving into harmless, benevolent light around the vulnerable areas of your life.
