Unmoved Awareness Within

Psalms 10:5-7 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Psalms 10 in context

Scripture Focus

5His ways are always grievous; thy judgments are far above out of his sight: as for all his enemies, he puffeth at them.
6He hath said in his heart, I shall not be moved: for I shall never be in adversity.
7His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and fraud: under his tongue is mischief and vanity.
Psalms 10:5-7

Biblical Context

These lines describe a proud, unyielding voice that believes it will never face adversity; its actions and words are harsh, deceitful, and vain.

Neville's Inner Vision

Read as Neville would, the 'proud man' is a state of consciousness—the inner posture that whispers, I shall not be moved, a fortress of ego certain it stands above all judgments. But the judgments that seem far above its sight are not external; they are the higher laws of awareness within the I AM, the very power that can revise any tale you tell about yourself. When the tongue exhibits curses, deceit, and vanity, see that such speech is an outward ripple of an inward belief. The cure is inner revision: refuse the conviction of invulnerability; imagine yourself already living in the truth of your I AM—unmoved by appearances, aligned with love, discernment, and serenity. In this light, pride and self-exaltation dissolve into the recognition of oneness, and the so-called enemy becomes a mirror of mistaken thought. By choosing the feeling of your true state, you render the outer scene obedient to your inner declaration.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and affirm: I am the unmoved I AM, the watcher of thoughts. Revise the stubborn vow of invulnerability to: I am held by the I AM, and my words create clarity and life.
