Psalms 1:2-3 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Psalms 1 in context

Scripture Focus

2But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
3And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
Psalms 1:2-3

Biblical Context

The blessed one delights in the LORD's law and meditates on it continually, becoming like a tree planted by rivers of water that bears fruit and prospers.

Neville's Inner Vision

Take Psalms 1:2-3 as a guide for the inner man. The psalmist speaks of a state of consciousness, not luck: the I AM finds pleasure in the inner law, the living principle that governs your life. Delighting in the law is consenting to an inner order that directs your world. Meditating on that law day and night is not a ritual but the steady habit of remaining in the assumed state, the felt reality that you are nourished by the river of life. Plant yourself in this inner law and you become like a tree by the waters, nourished, steadfast, bearing fruit in its season, with leaves that never wither. What you do then prospers, because your vibrational alignment mirrors the nature of reality.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and repeat: I delight in the inner law of my being, nourished by the river of awareness. See yourself as a tree planted by living waters, bearing fruit in its season and standing vibrant in all weather.
