Blessed Path of Inner Separation
Psalms 1:1 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Blessed is the one who does not follow the counsel of the ungodly and does not align with sinners or those who scoff. The verse emphasizes an inner state of heart, not a physical place.
Neville's Inner Vision
Blessedness in Psalms 1:1 is not a reward handed by God from outside; it is the result of an inner alignment with the I AM. When you refuse to walk the counsel of the ungodly, you stop living by the outer voice of fear, doubt, and limitation. To stand in the way of sinners is to halt the habitual motion of those limited thoughts; to sit in the seat of the scornful is to permit bitterness, mockery, and judgment to govern your state. The blessed man is thus a state of consciousness that chooses a different line of thinking: the awareness that you are the creator within, the Imagination that contrives your world. By turning away from the loudness of negative suggestion and turning toward the divine idea of yourself, you cultivate wisdom and discernment; you walk a path of holiness by inner choice, not by external restriction. Your life becomes the fruit of your inner verdict: you are not defined by others’ opinions but by the I AM you dwell in; in this place, obedience and faithfulness blossom as steady feeling and stable imagination.
Practice This Now
Assume the state now: repeat 'I am blessed; I do not walk in ungodly counsel' and feel the conviction as if it already is. Then revise any intrusive thought by imagining a light of wisdom guiding your steps.
