Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The simple are invited to turn inward toward Wisdom, who offers nourishment of understanding. Forsaking foolishness is choosing the living path of discernment.
Neville's Inner Vision
Beloved, Proverbs 9:4-6 invites the open-minded state to turn within to the I AM where Wisdom abides. The 'simple' is a consciousness ready to be initiated into awareness; Wisdom is not an external teacher but your own state of awake presence. When she says, 'eat of my bread, and drink of the wine which I have mingled,' she invites you to feed on ideas and feelings that have been consciously blended into truth—thoughts that sustain discernment and peace. To 'forsake the foolish, and live' is to relinquish the old, childish notions of separation and lack, and to step into a life that flows from your awareness. The 'way of understanding' is simply the alignment of imagination with the I AM, the living principle you call into form by assuming its reality. As you dwell in that inner state, your world rearranges to reflect the nourishment you've chosen. The bread and wine are not ritual objects but symbols of a revised consciousness that nourishes every decision, every feeling, every action.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: In a quiet moment, assume you are the wise self. See Wisdom seated within your mind's table; take the bread and wine, and feel understanding nourishing your I AM. Repeat softly, 'I turn to understanding and live in the Truth I am.'
