Proverbs 7:21-22

Biblical Context

Proverbs 7:21-22 depicts a man drawn toward ruin by enticing speech. He follows quickly, as if led by force.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within Neville's lens, the 'she' with fair speech is not a woman but a seductive state of desire arising in your own consciousness. The 'man' who yields is the state of attention you have allowed to identify with a pleasant image. When the speech flatters and the image promises ease, you yield because your awareness has consented to that imagined pleasure. The straight path after her—like an ox to slaughter—exposes the momentum of belief that you have not reinterpreted. The danger lies in mistaking a transient sensation for reality, forgetting that you are the I AM, the witnessing consciousness that can choose a different state. To reverse the scene, you must assume the new state already; you revise the image until it no longer grips you, and you feel it as real within your chest. In practice, dwell in the certainty of your wholeness, watch the impulse without feeding it, and let the image of safety, clarity, and integrity replace the lure. When you do this, the external path loses its pull, and your life moves according to the higher truth you willingly inhabit.

Practice This Now

Assume the I AM as your only reality in this moment. Rehearse a brief revision: see the tempting image fade and feel the steadfast, safe sovereign I AM in charge.
