Biblical Context
Proverbs 7:13–15 depicts a seductive figure who entices with the language of peace and vows, drawing the listener into distraction.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within your consciousness, the 'she' is a seductive state of mind, a whisper that pretends to offer peace while pulling you from your I AM. The claim 'peace offerings' and 'I have paid my vows' is not a ritual but a justification for indulging a craving under the banner of worship. When you assent to this inner scene by believing its picture, you enter a momentum that seems to meet you at the door and to call that meeting 'finding thy face.' Yet the real 'meeting' occurs in the solitude of your own consciousness, not in outward acts. True peace is not earned by ceremonial sayings; it is the living presence of the I AM right now. So revise: decide you are already in the state you seek, feel that state as real, and refuse to identify with any image that asserts otherwise. Imagination is the instrument by which your world is formed; tilt it toward the fulfilled state and watch life yield to that inner alignment. Return to the constancy of your I AM, and the lure dissolves.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Sit quietly, close your eyes, and repeat in present tense, 'I am in the peace I seek.' Visualize stepping through an inner door labeled 'I AM' and feel the certainty of that state in your chest, especially when the lure arises.
