Inner Consequences Revealed

Proverbs 6:32-35 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Proverbs 6 in context

Scripture Focus

32But whoso committeth adultery with a woman lacketh understanding: he that doeth it destroyeth his own soul.
33A wound and dishonour shall he get; and his reproach shall not be wiped away.
34For jealousy is the rage of a man: therefore he will not spare in the day of vengeance.
35He will not regard any ransom; neither will he rest content, though thou givest many gifts.
Proverbs 6:32-35

Biblical Context

Proverbs 6:32–35 warns that adultery harms the actor’s inner life, destroys the soul, and brings lasting dishonor; external gifts cannot erase the wound or the reproach.

Neville's Inner Vision

In the I AM you discover that adultery is not a crime of the body alone but a misalignment of consciousness. When you separate from the inner unity, you fracture your soul; the wound and dishonor come from a state of separation, not from a moment external to awareness. Jealousy and the demand for vengeance are projections of an ego convinced it has lost its rightful wholeness. Gifts or ransom cannot restore what the inner state has broken until you revise the scene from within. The cure is to return to a single, conscious assumption: that you are already complete, that the I AM governs your life, and that harmony is your natural state. Practice by imagining a scene where fidelity and integrity prevail, feel the reality of that state, and let it root in your present awareness. By this revision you reclaim dignity and restore the self to its original unity.

Practice This Now

In moments of temptation or accusation, close your eyes and revise: 'I am whole; this is a reflection of my unity with the I AM.' Breathe deeply and feel that truth as real.
