These verses warn that a bitter, tempting path ends in ruin, and its ways are uncertain and lead toward death unless wisdom is chosen.
Neville's Inner Vision
View this page: Proverbs 5:4–6, but remember the inner map. The 'she' is not a woman but a state of consciousness that lures you with sensation, the belief that life comes from outward pleasures. In Neville's language, the end is bitter wormwood because you have believed you move from life toward lack; you forgot that you are the I AM, the living imagination that births your world. The two-edged sword is choice born of imagination—the moment you entertain the idea of separation, you cut yourself from the source of life. Her feet go down to death; her steps take hold of hell—these are the motions of a mind that accepts scarcity, fear, or appetite as ruler. To awaken, consciously choose the opposite: imagine life as already yours, feel the I AM radiating through every step, and revise any belief that the path is elsewhere. The moveable paths mean nothing when you stand in the fixed reality you are creating in consciousness. The path becomes known when you stop judging by appearances and accept the inner life as the sole reality.
Practice This Now
Sit quietly and assume I AM guiding your steps; revise the scene by declaring, 'I am on the path of life now.' Feel the certainty rise as you imagine each step firmly grounded in life.
