Read Proverbs 5 in context

Scripture Focus

11And thou mourn at the last, when thy flesh and thy body are consumed,
12And say, How have I hated instruction, and my heart despised reproof;
13And have not obeyed the voice of my teachers, nor inclined mine ear to them that instructed me!
14I was almost in all evil in the midst of the congregation and assembly.
Proverbs 5:11-14

Biblical Context

These verses warn that neglecting instruction and resisting correction leads to regret and moral decay. They show the cost of turning away from inner guidance and the community of wise instruction.

Neville's Inner Vision

I tell you the last mourning is the moment you awaken to the state you have been living in. When you hate instruction and despise reproof, you have dissociated from the I AM that you are, and your energy decays as if flesh and body were consumed by a forgotten belief. The 'congregation and assembly' is your inner chorus of habits and identifications; their influence grows stronger the moment you drift from the inner teacher. The remedy is a simple, fiery revision: decide that instruction is love and that obedience is your natural expression of awareness. Imprint the assumption that you are already guided, listening, and grateful for correction, and feel that reality as if it were your present experience. In doing so, you reverse the momentum of regret and open the door to a life governed by your true I AM. The moment you align with this inner instruction, the imagined world shifts to reflect your restored harmony.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Close your eyes and revise to the state 'I am guided by the inner voice of instruction.' Feel it real by repeating it until the body relaxes, then imagine a situation today where you listened and the outcome was good.
