Take hold of instruction as life and guard it. Avoid the path of the wicked and walk in the brightness of the just.
Neville's Inner Vision
To the inner reader I say: the 'instruction' is not a book outside you but the living law of your own I AM. Take hold of it as you would lay hold of a seed of light and never let it go, for it is thy life, the breath of your inner being. The wicked path and the path of violence are states of consciousness—fear, pride, and compulsion that starve the inner life. When you dwell there, you sleep not, unless mischief is done, and your nights are restless because you have left your guard. The phrase 'bread of wickedness' and 'wine of violence' speaks to how such thoughts feed a bitter appetite. The just path shines like morning light, growing brighter as you refuse the dark by returning again and again to the I AM. Your awareness learns to see through appearances, and the world rearranges to reflect your inner alignment. So claim now: I am the light that holds fast to wisdom, and let that light lead every step.
Practice This Now
Imagine a lamp of instruction glowing within your chest. Sit quietly, repeat, I take fast hold of instruction now; I AM the light guiding my life, and visualize the light growing brighter with each affirmation.
