Inner Kingship in Proverbs 30:29-31
Proverbs 30:29-31 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Proverbs 30 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The text names four noble ways of moving through life: strong, fearless leadership (the lion); swift, assured action (the greyhound); steadfast endurance (the he-goat); and an unchallengeable ruler (the king).
Neville's Inner Vision
Within every soul there are four forms of walking that announce your sovereignty. The lion is your unwavering power, the strength that does not retreat before any scene or fear. The greyhound is your swift decisiveness, moving with clear intention toward your chosen end. The he-goat stands for steady ascent, climbing life’s slopes without slipping into panic or wavering. And the king who meets no rising up is the conscious I AM, the sovereign ruler who stands above circumstance, unthreatened by others' opinions or lack. When you notice a challenge in your life, do not plead for change as if it were outside you. Assume that these four dispositions are already present in your inner field of awareness and that you are presently walking as the king. Your world will conform to that renewed inner posture, because imagination makes reality. So identify with the ruler within, feel the certainty of command, and welcome the events that greet your inner throne as the outward proof of your inner sovereignty.
Practice This Now
Sit quietly, close your eyes, and declare, I am the lion, the greyhound, the goat, and the king in my life. Then feel the posture of sovereign authority and watch your circumstances respond.
