Inner Hunger Transfigured

Proverbs 30:15-16 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Proverbs 30 in context

Scripture Focus

15The horseleach hath two daughters, crying, Give, give. There are three things that are never satisfied, yea, four things say not, It is enough:
16The grave; and the barren womb; the earth that is not filled with water; and the fire that saith not, It is enough.
Proverbs 30:15-16

Biblical Context

The horseleach's cry of 'give, give' exposes insatiable desire as an inner condition. The four things that never say 'enough' reveal the futility of seeking fullness outside of consciousness.

Neville's Inner Vision

Notice that these words are not about scarcity in the external world but about scarcity in consciousness. The horseleach’s two daughters—Give, give—are the restless appetites of the outer sense that insist the world must supply happiness. The three (four) things never satisfied—the grave, the barren womb, the earth not filled with water, and the fire that cannot say, It is enough—are inner states of mind you’ve accepted as reality whenever you equate life with outward results. When you dwell in the belief that life comes from without, you invite decay of energy, unproductive effort, drought of spirit, and an unquenchable flame of desire. But these signs are invitations to turn inward. The remedy is radical yet simple: assume the state of fullness now. Know the I AM within as the source of all abundance; let that awareness revise every impulse born of lack. As you hold that inner state, the outer world aligns with your true, unending abundance instead of chronic want.

Practice This Now

Assume the feeling of the wish fulfilled in this moment. Visualize the horseleach’s cries dissolving as water wells up inside you, irrigating the inner soil and revealing that fullness already present.
