Read Proverbs 3 in context

Scripture Focus

13Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.
14For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold.
15She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her.
16Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour.
17Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace.
18She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her.
Proverbs 3:13-18

Biblical Context

Wisdom and understanding bring happiness, surpassing wealth. They lead to long life, honor, peace, and a tree of life for those who hold fast to her.

Neville's Inner Vision

To the one who awakens to the truth that wisdom is an inner state, happiness is not a future purchase but a present recognition. When you acknowledge that you already possess the I AM that defines you, you discover that the merchandise of wisdom outvalues silver and gold because it is the light by which you discern. The right hand of wisdom speaks of length of days as the cadence of a life lived in harmony with your inner counsel; the left hand, riches and honor, follow as the natural fruit of a conscience aligned with truth. Her ways are pleasantness, and all her paths are peace because you walk within a constant awareness that you are the source of all discernment. She is a tree of life to those who lay hold upon her; happiness attends those who retain her. If you imagine yourself as already wise, you revise lack, and the external becomes a mirror of your inner clarity.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume the state 'I AM wisdom' as present and real. Hold that feeling for a few minutes, then let your day reflect its clarity.
