Fear, Trust, and Inner Safety

Proverbs 29:25-26 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Proverbs 29 in context

Scripture Focus

25The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe.
26Many seek the ruler's favour; but every man's judgment cometh from the LORD.
Proverbs 29:25-26

Biblical Context

The verse warns that fearing people is a trap, while trusting the LORD keeps you safe. It also notes that many seek the ruler’s favor, but judgment ultimately comes from God.

Neville's Inner Vision

On the surface the verse threads the fear of man and the lure of favor, but Neville sees it as states of consciousness. The fear of man is a snare precisely because it binds you to appearances and the illusion that your life depends on others. When you turn toward the I AM within, the divine consciousness that you truly are, safety arises as a natural byproduct of alignment. Trust in the LORD is not passive resignation but a reidentification with the inner authority that judges aright. As you imagine yourself under the I AM’s decree, you revise the external world by creating the inner state of certainty. The ruler, the crowd, the opinion of others—all fade into reflections of your inner posture. Persist in the inner trust and you will find that judgment comes from the LORD, not from fear, because imagination governs reality. You are the one who gives the verdict in your life; align with the inner law and the outer world will follow.

Practice This Now

Imaginative_act: Sit quietly, close your eyes, and assume the feeling of the I AM with you now; declare inwardly, I trust the LORD within me and I am safe regardless of outward opinions.
