Biblical Context
Attending to the inner 'flocks' of thoughts, feelings, and habits is the call; outer riches are not permanent, so true provisioning comes from disciplined inner stewardship and imagination.
Neville's Inner Vision
I am the shepherd of my inner realm; the flocks are my thoughts, beliefs, and feelings. Outer riches and the crown are not permanent, so I do not chase them as if they were the sole treasure. Instead I tend the inner fields with steady attention: the hay appearing and the tender grass showing themselves are signs of growth within my consciousness, the inner seasons of possibility I cultivate by assumption and imagination. The lambs signify new ideas of provision, the goats the means by which I clothe and nourish myself from inner abundance. As I steward this inward harvest, I discover that provision manifests outwardly only as a reflection of my inner state. The verse invites me to revise without fear—assume the state of plenty, feel the reality of supply in the I AM that I am. When I dwell in that awareness, the outer world follows my inner condition, and the crown endures as harmony of mind, not merely as time.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume you are the shepherd of your inner resources, tending thoughts, energy, and beliefs. Then revise any sense of lack until you feel the inner provision as already real.
