Mirror Of The Heart
Proverbs 27:19 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verse says that how we relate to others mirrors our inner state; a calm heart reflects well, while a troubled heart echoes as friction in relationships.
Neville's Inner Vision
Picture the water in a quiet lake, smooth as thought. In that image the face you see is not merely another person but a reflection of your own inward state. The verse is not about them at all; it is about you and the consciousness you carry. When your heart is at peace, your meetings with others unfold with ease; when it is unsettled, your surroundings echo back that disturbance as distance, suspicion, or friction. The law at work here is the I AM, your continuous awareness, which we might call God within. You do not change the other; you awaken to a new you, and the world becomes a mirror showing the change. If you desire truth and faithfulness in relationships—if you long for community and unity—cultivate the feeling of already having those things. Consciously dwell in the assumption that harmony exists between you and every face you meet, and revise any fear until your internal state expands to embrace mutual love, trust, and clarity. The heart to heart is simply consciousness meeting itself.
Practice This Now
Assume harmony now; treat every face as a reflection of your own heart. Close your eyes, breathe, and repeat, 'I AM harmony; my neighbor is my mirror; I revise fear and rest in unity.'
