The Humble Tomorrow Within

Proverbs 27:1-2 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Proverbs 27 in context

Scripture Focus

1Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.
2Let another man praise thee, and not thine own mouth; a stranger, and not thine own lips.
Proverbs 27:1-2

Biblical Context

Do not boast about tomorrow; you do not know what a day may bring. Do not praise yourself; let others praise you.

Neville's Inner Vision

Tomorrow is not a possession you own; it is a projection of the unknown you are becoming. If you boast of it with your mouth or build it on self-praise, you feed a phantom you cannot yet sustain. The I AM, your true self, knows a different policy: the day is yours as soon as you assume the state you desire in the temple of consciousness. Do not look for applause from a stranger outside; allow the inner echo of your quiet conviction to acknowledge you. When you refrain from self-promotion and place your trust in the present relation of you to the I AM, the outer world will mirror that inner alignment—the day will arrive with its own natural unfoldment, and praise, if any, will arise as a sign, not a command. So, cultivate humility as a practical discipline: dwell in the assumed reality of your desired self, feel it as already finished, and let the unknown day reveal itself through you.

Practice This Now

Sit quietly and declare in your heart, I am already the state I seek; tomorrow unfolds from this present I AM. Feel that state fully in your chest as a calm, humble assurance, then release any urge to boast or require praise.
