Inner Boundaries and Truth
Proverbs 25:16-20 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
These verses call for temperance in pleasure, prudent boundaries with others, and honesty. They warn that deceit and hollow cheer can wound trust and the heart.
Neville's Inner Vision
All the verses are about the state of consciousness you awaken when you are awake within. The honey you find is the sweetness of experience; you may eat only enough to nourish the body of your I AM, lest you feed the ego and lose sight of your real self. When you withdraw your foot from your neighbor's house, you practice the discipline of inner space: you stop intruding into another's drama, so that love remains voluntary and not a mistimed obligation. A man who bears false witness against his neighbor is not merely a criminal of the world, but your own mind accusing itself; see that such voice is a maul and a sword in your own heart, and you turn away from it. Confidence in an unfaithful man is a contraction in your inner trust; you remind yourself that trust is a function of your own inner fidelity to the I AM. As for singing to a heavy heart, you recognize that cheerful songs without healing presence are vinegar upon nitre; the soul longs for truthful compassion. Revision: I am the I AM, choosing truth, mercy, and boundaries here and now, and this imagining becomes your life.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Assume you are the I AM and feel the boundary that nourishes; revise any urge to overstep or pretend happiness, and feel compassionate presence by simply being.
