Proverbs 24:5-6 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Proverbs 24 in context

Scripture Focus

5A wise man is strong; yea, a man of knowledge increaseth strength.
6For by wise counsel thou shalt make thy war: and in multitude of counsellors there is safety.
Proverbs 24:5-6

Biblical Context

A wise person is strong through knowledge. Safety comes from taking counsel from many voices.

Neville's Inner Vision

Seek not strength as a distant fact but as a present state of awareness. In the inner realm, the wise man is strong because knowledge is held as a living attitude of I AM. When you consult the inner council, you are not seeking approval from without; you are aligning your imagination with the conviction that your consciousness contains all needed counsel. The many counsellors become inner faculties: discernment, memory, imagination, and faith. As you dwell in the feeling of being guided, the imagined voices harmonize and fortify your resolve for the 'war' of life. The outer world then mirrors the quiet, confident decision you make from that inner agreement. Safety is the fruit of alignment, not fear-driven action. Your task is to revise any sense of inadequacy by assuming, right now, that you have the right inner guidance and that it is abundantly available to you. By dwelling in that certainty, you awaken strength that is already yours.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and picture a council of inner voices guiding you. Assume the feeling of safety as you declare, 'I am the I AM; inner counsel is mine, and I am strong now'.
