Truth-Telling Delights The Wise

Proverbs 24:24-25 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Proverbs 24 in context

Scripture Focus

24He that saith unto the wicked, Thou art righteous; him shall the people curse, nations shall abhor him:
25But to them that rebuke him shall be delight, and a good blessing shall come upon them.
Proverbs 24:24-25

Biblical Context

The verses condemn flattering the wicked and affirm that true rebuke leads to social delight and blessing. Speaking truth is shown as the path to blessing.

Neville's Inner Vision

Viewed through the I AM, the wicked you meet is not a person out there but a stubborn belief within your own consciousness. To call that belief righteous is to feed the lie and invite the world to echo your error. The real command of the scripture is to rebuke that inner illusion with a calm, definite declaration of your end-state: you are already governed by righteousness, clarity, and blessing. When you stand in that authority, the outer voice of the crowd will either resist or recoil, for it is only a reflection of your present state. Yet true power is in the loving refusal to feed error; in correcting your inner speech you shift the entire atmosphere, and delight arises where there was fear, while blessings cascade as your state aligns with the good you intend. So the verse teaches mastery of consciousness: choose truth over flattery, anchor your imagination in the end you desire, and the world will answer from the same state you hold.

Practice This Now

Assume the state I am the one who speaks truth to error. Revise any inner praise of weakness and feel the blessing as already mine.
