Scripture Focus

1Be not thou envious against evil men, neither desire to be with them.
2For their heart studieth destruction, and their lips talk of mischief.
Proverbs 24:1-2

Biblical Context

Do not envy evil men or desire to join them. Their hearts plot destruction and their lips speak mischief.

Neville's Inner Vision

Envy is a sign of misidentification with lack; when you look out at those who seem to prosper by mischief, you are not observing them truly, but observing your own inner state. Proverbs asks you to separate from the impulse to desire their company, for the heart that plots destruction is an inner movement you do not want to adopt. The I AM that you are—your permanent awareness—does not applaud manipulation nor cling to it. If you feel drawn toward such company, you are simply asked to revise: return your attention to the inner light that governs all, and acknowledge that true abundance cannot be built on cruelty. Your practice is to claim a state in which envy has no seat, and where wisdom speaks in place of gossip. By living from the assumption that you are, you align with divine order, and the appearance of those who misuse words and power loses its pull. The result is steadiness, discernment, and a peace that does not depend on outward company.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and repeat the revision: I am the I AM; I do not envy or desire to join that path; I am the light that chooses harmony.
