Biblical Context
Do not envy sinners; instead, keep your heart fixed in reverence to the LORD throughout the day. The end of this inner movement is your secure expectation, not a distant conquest.
Neville's Inner Vision
On the inner plane, envy is a faulty signal—an insistence that happiness lies elsewhere. Proverbs invites you to turn from that outward gaze and to dwell in the fear of the LORD, meaning the unwavering awareness of your I AM. When you keep this reverent attention all day, life reorganizes itself to match the inner state. You stop measuring yourself by others’ appearances and begin to feel the end already in you. The end is the natural conclusion of the inner movement when you live from the fulfilled state; thine expectation, your desire, will not be cut off, because you are not seeking something distant, you are inhabiting it now. See that you are the creator by consent; your assumption, held with feeling, is the seed that grows into outer form. This is not strife but steady practice: mind the inner throne, and question softly, 'I AM—is this my reality?' The verse asks for endurance—keep the posture until the outer world reflects your inner sight.
Practice This Now
Practice a brief revision today: when envy arises, close your eyes, breathe, and silently declare, 'I am the I AM; I lack nothing.' Then assume the end is already mine and feel it real.
