When Riches Govern the Mind

Proverbs 22:7 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Proverbs 22 in context

Scripture Focus

7The rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender.
Proverbs 22:7

Biblical Context

The verse declares a social hierarchy: riches rule the poor. The borrower is bound to the lender by debt.

Neville's Inner Vision

Viewed through the I AM, the proverb is not about money but about states of consciousness. Rich and poor are inner dispositions, positions you inhabit by habit; the borrower is the I that believes in lack, the lender the external voice reflecting that belief back to you. When you imagine yourself under the rule of wealth, you are still the I AM who creates. The moment you stop identifying with debt and begin to feel the living wealth already present within, the outer condition shifts. Assume the state of abundance now. Revise any sense of lack until it feels real in your chest, and let the feeling of fullness saturate your world. The ruler becomes inner clarity, not a creditor, and the lender dissolves as you take responsibility for the dream you continually live. Rich and poor are moods of faith: move into the consciousness that finances are energy responding to your state. Do not chase form; believe and dwell in the assumption until it manifests as your experience.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, breathe into the chest, and repeat 'I am wealth expressed now,' feeling the energy circulate through you for a few minutes. Then revise any sense of lack by declaring, 'My wealth is my I AM.'
