Inner Boundaries On Debts

Proverbs 22:26 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Proverbs 22 in context

Scripture Focus

26Be not thou one of them that strike hands, or of them that are sureties for debts.
Proverbs 22:26

Biblical Context

The verse warns against co-signing or guaranteeing another’s debts. It guards your own state of power and discernment.

Neville's Inner Vision

Be not thou one of them that strike hands, or of them that are sureties for debts. In this, the text speaks not of money alone but of your inner alignment. To strike hands with another is to join your I AM with a belief that you must settle another's account. To become a surety is to lease out your imagination, giving your inner bank to conditions outside your living truth. You are the sole manager of your reality; the I AM within you is never in arrears or dependent on the promises of others. When you fear lack or seek to guarantee another's obligation, you are consenting to a future you do not want. The only security is the faith that your own state of consciousness creates forms and circumstances. Hold steady in your sovereign vision: you are not responsible for another's debts, but for your own inner wealth; you refuse to bind your imagination to another's debtors' ledger and thus you liberate your life to move in harmony with abundance. Each moment you revise your stance to say, 'I am free; I create my own supply.'

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and revise the belief, 'I do not co-sign or guarantee another's debt,' and feel the inner power sealing this choice over your imagination.
