Inner Altar of Purity
Proverbs 21:27 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Biblical Context
The verse declares that the sacrifice of the wicked is abhorrent, especially when offered with a wicked mind. It points to the primacy of inner sincerity over outward rites.
Neville's Inner Vision
Begin by viewing the verse as a diagnosis of your own state. The wicked sacrifice is a symbolic act performed by a fixed, fearful, judgmental mind that pretends to worship while remaining untouched inside. The outer ritual becomes abominable precisely because the inner state does not deserve it; God is the I AM, not a ceremony. In Neville terms, the true altar is your own consciousness. When you hold thoughts of lack, guilt, or separation, you offer a counterfeit sacrifice—an outward gesture that cannot harmonize with the living Good within you. The remedy is simple: revise your inner state until it feels natural to offer your whole being in obedience to the I AM. Assume you are already pure, forgiven, and one with the desired fulfillment; imagine, feel, and dwell there until the sense of separation dissolves. And then your actions will reflect that inner alignment; the exterior becomes a reflection of the inner offering.
Practice This Now
Sit in quiet stillness, assume you are already pure and aligned with the I AM; revise a past error by declaring I now belong to God and feel that new state as real.
