Inner Hand of the King

Proverbs 21:1 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Proverbs 21 in context

Scripture Focus

1The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.
Proverbs 21:1

Biblical Context

The verse says the king's will is in the LORD's hand and can be directed like water; your inner state is the true power shaping outer events.

Neville's Inner Vision

The king represents the seat of decision in your life, and the LORD is the I AM in which you awaken. The hand of the LORD is not distant but the living awareness by which you turn the river of your own choices. Think of the heart as water in your own hand: you tilt it toward peace, prosperity, or freedom by the focus of your inner assumption. The rivers of water obey the turn of awareness because God is the consciousness that makes the turning possible. Therefore, you are not subject to random fate; you are the ruler who can direct the current by feeling and belief. When you accept that the inner source governs the visible scene, you begin to notice that circumstances shift in response to your inner posture. The outward world is the effect of your inward government. So, dwell in the conviction that the I AM is turning the inner heart to your desired outcome, and observe the outer scenes follow suit as faithful witnesses to your inner assumption.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, relax, and imagine the river of your own decisions flowing toward the outcome you seek; then declare I AM turning this now and feel the alignment as real.
