Biblical Context
The verse warns that entering the house and paths of the adulteress leads to death. Those who go there do not return to the paths of life.
Neville's Inner Vision
The 'house' and 'paths' signify a state of consciousness—temptations that pull you from the life-giving I AM. When you yield to fear, desire, or separation, you enter a death-imagination and feel there is no return to life. In Neville's terms, the remedy is revision: you reverse the scene by assuming a life-path now. Declare that you are aligned with wisdom, purity, obedience, and trust in the I AM. The image of 'no return' points to the stubborn grip of a fixed belief; the way back is to change your state, not grind your will. By imagining yourself already on the path of life, your inner dialogue orders perception and the outer world rearranges to match. The practice is inward—interior alignment of state and feeling produces outward transformation. See yourself walking with integrity, and as you hold that posture, the old temptations lose force and your days unfold with discernment. This is how the law operates: imagination precedes form; choose the life-path now and be willing to feel it as real.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume the state: 'I now walk the paths of life.' Feel the steady peace of wisdom guiding every choice; when temptation to return to the 'house' arises, revise instantly by affirming 'I am life, I am on the life-path'.
