Read Proverbs 19 in context

Scripture Focus

23The fear of the LORD tendeth to life: and he that hath it shall abide satisfied; he shall not be visited with evil.
Proverbs 19:23

Biblical Context

Plainly, it says reverence for the LORD leads to life. Those who cultivate that reverence dwell content and are not visited by evil.

Neville's Inner Vision

Imagine the 'fear of the LORD' as a state of consciousness, a reverent alignment of your awareness with the one Life within you. When you refuse to split your attention between vague worry and a larger reality—that you are the I AM—you invite life to flow. The fear here is not panic, but faithful attention: a demand that your inner world be governed by the truth of Life, not by appearances. In this inner posture, you are not cut off from danger; you are protected by the consistency of your own awareness. What you dwell upon grows; what you concede to be true becomes your weather. So choose, in imagination and feeling, to rest inside the I AM's presence, and let the mind loosen its grip on fear. As you practice, you will find that life tends toward satisfaction—contentment becoming your normal state—and evil states lose their grip, because they cannot overwhelm the I AM that you now acknowledge as supreme.

Practice This Now

Practice: Sit quietly, close your eyes, and assume the feeling of being under the I AM. Repeat to yourself, 'I am life; I am satisfied,' for several minutes until that state settles as your new norm.
