Inner Kingship in Proverbs
Proverbs 19:10 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Proverbs 19 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
A fool should not be delighted as a ruler, and it would be improper for a servant to govern princes.
Neville's Inner Vision
Think of the verse as a map of your inner kingdom. A fool is a state of consciousness that mistakes lightness for truth; delight in such a state is not fit for ruling. And a servant, an unintegrated ego, attempting to govern princes reveals a disorder within. The externals of kingship reflect your internal alignment: you will not lead in the outer world beyond your inner clarity. Therefore, the remedy is to reverse the picture by assuming the I AM as the true ruler in you. When you dwell in the conviction that awareness alone governs all, the inner moves shift; the highest attitudes (the princes) come to be formed by that inner sovereignty, and the lower impulses yield. Delight becomes a steady, purposeful joy that serves the work of consciousness, not a capricious mood. Practice this by imagining, right now, that the I AM within you sits enthroned, and feel the weight and ease of rightful authority.
Practice This Now
Assume the inner ruler now: feel the I AM enthroned within you and revise any impulse toward vanity or fear by declaring and feeling, 'I AM the ruler here.'
