Inner Blessing of Union

Proverbs 18:22 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Proverbs 18 in context

Scripture Focus

22Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the LORD.
Proverbs 18:22

Biblical Context

Proverbs 18:22 says that finding a wife is a good thing and brings the Lord's favor. It presents marriage as a divine blessing expressed through everyday life.

Neville's Inner Vision

Notice that the line speaks of a 'good thing' and 'favour of the LORD' laid upon the one who finds. In the Neville idiom, the entire verse reveals that your inner state has produced an outer blessing. You do not seek a spouse as a distant wish; you imagine the unity of being, the wholeness that comes when consciousness is aligned with I AM. The 'wife' is symbolic of receptivity, balance, and harmony within your own mind—a partner in consciousness that reflects divine favor. When you dwell in the feeling that this unity is already established, the sense of separation dissolves and the present moment becomes saturated with blessing. The LORD's favour is not distant: it is the natural aroma of attention rightly placed in your own heart. To see this, you must live in the assumption that the right relationship is already yours, right now, within your inner world. As you persist in that assumption, your circumstances adjust to reflect it, and the blessing reveals itself through grace and discernment.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume the inner fellowship is already realized. Feel the warmth of harmony as if it has always been yours, and affirm 'I am in union with grace now.'
