The Inner Tower of God
Proverbs 18:10 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Proverbs 18 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verse proclaims that invoking the LORD’s name provides a fortified refuge. The righteous find safety by turning inward to that divine presence.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within the psyche, the Name of the Lord functions as a stable vibrational tower that you enter by defined assumption. The strong tower is not a distant city but a shift of consciousness into the I AM, the awareness that you are. When you run into it, you refuse the storm of appearances and allow the inner truth to shelter you. The 'righteous' are simply those who consent to this truth and feel it as their present posture, not a past belief. In that moment, fear loosens its grip, plans reform, and guidance arises from stillness. The tower sits above the fluctuating world of images, yet it is reachable now, here, by the act of imagining the Name and wearing it as your state of being. So practice is inward: when you notice threat or need, reaffirm, 'I AM with you' and dwell as that Presence. As you do, safety becomes not a future hope but your immediate reality, and Providence begins to unfold through your inner certainty.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and imagine the Name of the Lord as a radiant tower towering above your life. Step into it by feeling, 'I AM safe,' and dwell there until fear subsides and direction returns.
