Desire's Path to Wisdom
Proverbs 18:1 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Proverbs 18 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
A person, moved by desire, withdraws from distractions to seek wisdom. In doing so, they immerse themselves in the entire realm of wisdom.
Neville's Inner Vision
Desire is the door through which your consciousness chooses to enter the realm of wisdom. The verse presents a state of mind that separates itself from the noise of appearances so the I AM can attend to every corner of inner truth. When you assume the state of separation by desire, you align with the knowing that you are already complete. The act of seeking becomes an inward conversation with the whole cosmos of wisdom, not a chase outside. The more you dwell in the assumption that you are the wise observer, the more inner movements of insight intermix with every form of wisdom available to consciousness. This is discernment, not pride—an intentional turning within to know by the presence of your own I AM. Your goal is to awaken to the fact that wisdom is your inherent state, already present as your awareness.
Practice This Now
Sit in quiet and affirm: 'I am the wisdom of God within me; I now separate myself from doubt and am one with all wisdom.' Feel this state as real and carry it into your next actions.
