Biblical Context
Covering a transgression is an act of love that preserves unity. Repeating a matter invites division and parts friends.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within your consciousness, the act of concealing a transgression is an act of love because it chooses oneness over shame. When you, the I AM, refuse to rehearse another’s error, you align with harmony and draw peaceful relations to you. The 'transgression' is not merely a deed in time, but a state of inner misalignment. To cover it is to forgive, to transform the memory by imagining the other as whole and lovable as you are. Repeating a matter, however, is the movement of fear, a belief that separation governs your situation. It stirs the ego’s need to be right and so it creates distance between friends, not truth. Your inner atmosphere is shaping your outer company; if you want unity, you must assume unity. Revise the scene by seeing the beloved as unchangingly good, and by holding the relationship already healed in your imagination. When you maintain that vision, the heart follows, and those you know respond with a gentle, effortless reconciliation.
Practice This Now
Assume the state of unity now by silently blessing the other and revising the scene until the relationship feels whole.
