Proverbs 16:16-17

Biblical Context

Wisdom is more valuable than wealth, and choosing the right path protects the soul.

Neville's Inner Vision

Assume the state of one who already possesses wisdom. The proverbs tell you that wisdom is a greater treasure than gold and understanding more precious than silver; Neville would have you see these as inner currencies, not coins. To 'get' wisdom is to inhabit a vibration of discernment, a clarity of seeing causes, effects, and needs. The highway of the upright is the current of that inner discipline: a deliberate turning away from evil thoughts and the temptations of fear. He who keeps his way is keeping his pattern of attention, and in so doing preserves his soul from the erosion of doubt. When you dwell in such a state, wealth does not elude you—indeed the outer world becomes a faithful reflector of your inner wealth. The mind, when free from craving, finds abundance by revision of what is real. So, rather than chasing gold or silver, cultivate the imaginative surety that you are the wise man now, and let every choice and feeling confirm that reality. The outer road then follows your inner alignment, and you walk exempt from the soul's decay.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume the feeling of wisdom already dwelling in you, silently affirming, 'I am wisdom, I choose the good path.' Then revise any sense of lack by imagining wealth as inner riches that follow the upright choice.
