Whispers of Inner Purity

Proverbs 15:26 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Proverbs 15 in context

Scripture Focus

26The thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to the LORD: but the words of the pure are pleasant words.
Proverbs 15:26

Biblical Context

The verse contrasts inner states with outward speech. Wicked thoughts are abomination, while pure thoughts yield pleasant words.

Neville's Inner Vision

Think of the LORD as the I AM within you, the consciousness that witnesses every thought. The 'wicked' thoughts are not external enemies but inner states of mind you have nourished until they feel real. When you dwell there, you align with separation from your true nature and you awaken an inner abomination in the temple of your mind. The 'words of the pure' arise because a pure inner state cannot help but express itself as gentle, pleasant speech. The shift is not a moral verdict imposed from above, but a reorientation of your awareness: assume a different condition of being, and your mouth will follow. If you wish your words to be pleasant, you must inhabit a mind that is clear, loving, and true. Sit as the I AM that watches thoughts and chooses what to feed it. Each moment, revise a troubling thought into its opposite and feel it as real; treat your next sentence as a visible sign of your inner reality. Persist, and your world will echo the tone of your inner heaven, for imagination creates reality.

Practice This Now

Imaginative_act: For five minutes, assume you are pure of heart; when a negative thought appears, revise it by saying 'I am pure' and feel the truth of it, then utter one pleasant word about your day.
