The verse says that what is in the midst of fools is made known; that is not a condemnation of others but a mirror of your own inner movement. If you entertain the assumption that others are fools, you project that state into your world; if you instead assume you are the man of understanding, the outer world rearranges to reveal your inner wisdom. In Neville's terms, imagination is the causal power: you imagine the state of being wise, and that state becomes your visible life. When you feel the stillness of discernment in your heart, you act from assurance, not from fear or reaction. The 'fools' noise shows you the contrast to sharpen your awareness; you do not fight it, you revise your inner sense until wisdom rests within you. You are judged by the inner state you carry; your accountability is to keep turning within, until your outer world reflects your inner clarity.
