Inner Nourishment vs Lack

Proverbs 13:25 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Proverbs 13 in context

Scripture Focus

25The righteous eateth to the satisfying of his soul: but the belly of the wicked shall want.
Proverbs 13:25

Biblical Context

The righteous eat to satisfy their soul; the wicked's belly shall go lacking. The verse contrasts inner sufficiency with inner lack.

Neville's Inner Vision

The verse is a note on states of consciousness. The 'righteous' are those who dwell in an awareness of sufficiency, a consciousness that feeds the inner man. When you imagine from the I AM, nourishment becomes a reflection of your inner condition, not merely physical intake. The 'belly of the wicked' represents a mind caught in lack and fear, perpetually restless and unsatisfied. Thus, the apparent abundance or scarcity of meals mirrors the inner decree you give to your life. If you identify with abundance and assume the feeling of the wish fulfilled, your body and circumstances align to prove it. Conversely, dwelling in lack invites continued emptiness. The law is simple: you are the author of your experience through consciousness. Nourishment, then, is a symbol of the inner state you inhabit; feed that state, and the external world returns the sign of your inner deed. Return again to the I AM, treat every need as already provided, and you will experience the soul-satisfying eating the verse promises.

Practice This Now

Sit with eyes closed and assume the feeling of being fully fed. See the table set before you and know that abundance is your natural state.
