Biblical Context

Keep wise company and you become wise; walk with fools and you invite destruction. The righteous are rewarded, and disciplined living yields true sustenance.

Neville's Inner Vision

Feel the reality that you are the I AM, and your circle of friends is a circle of states of consciousness you willingly entertain. Walking with wise men is an inner alignment; you imagine a circle of wise presences—stable, compassionate, discerning—and you let their calm counsel govern your decisions. The 'evil' that pursues sinners is the inertia of unexamined thought; by identifying with wisdom you reverse the pull and draw good toward you. The inheritance mentioned is a living inner inheritance—your mental wealth, your disciplined habits, your righteous vision, which then manifests as outer provision. Abundance is found in the tillage of the poor when you bring clear judgment to your own mind; your inner measure determines what grows. The discipline of correction is love for the child within you, tenderly guiding without coercion. The righteous eat to the satisfaction of the soul; you feed your inner self with faith and imagination and your outer life follows suit.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: In the next moment, sit quietly, close your eyes, and assume you are already in the company of wise inner friends. Ask one practical question (finances, health, or a decision) and feel the answer as known now; revise your situation in imagination by claiming abundance and disciplined choices.
