Biblical Context
A wicked messenger brings trouble; a faithful ambassador brings health. Those who reject instruction suffer poverty and shame, while those who accept reproof are honoured.
Neville's Inner Vision
Think of the line as a map of your inner state. The wicked messenger is the loud, deceitful voice that whispers schemes, fear, and limitation—an inner current moving you toward mischief in imagination. The faithful ambassador is the disciplined, loving inner speech that aligns with your I AM, the awareness that creates reality. When you refuse instruction, you contract poverty and shame because you close the door to growth; you imprison your vitality in old patterns. But he who regards reproof—who welcomes correction as a divine gift—enlarges his consciousness, and the health of that inner state becomes your outward experience, a true honour. The verse invites you to cultivate the inner messenger who always speaks for the truth, and to treat correction as nourishment for your soul. In this light, health is not matter but consciousness, and honour is the natural expression of a mind that accepts its own divine instruction.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: In a quiet moment, detect the inner messenger you hear; revise it to be the faithful ambassador speaking for your I AM, and feel the truth you are now well, guided, and honoured.
