Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verses warn that deceit comes from imagining evil, while those who counsel peace experience joy; the just are protected, and those who tell the truth delight the Lord.
Neville's Inner Vision
Visualize Proverbs 12:20–22 as a map of your inner weather. Deceit arises where you imagine evil, for your imagination is the workshop of God—the I AM. When you assume the role of a counselor of peace, you deliberately image harmony, truthfulness, and just dealing, and joy becomes the natural weather of your consciousness. The statement that no evil comes to the just is an inner certainty: staying in the truth of your I AM, you remain unmoved by outward appearances; you become the steady light that dissolves mischief in your world. Lying lips are simply a sign of a split between inner state and spoken word; delight comes to those who align inner conviction with outer speech. Begin now by revising any fearful image you hold about others or circumstances, replace it with a truthful image of peace, and feel that image as real in your chest. Sit in that state, and observe how your life responds to your renewed inner atmosphere.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: close your eyes, assume the state 'I AM the truth I speak,' revise a current deceitful image into a peaceful one, and feel the truth of this image as real in your chest until it dominates your inner environment.
