Biblical Context

Some speak as if their words pierce like a sword. The wise tongue brings health.

Neville's Inner Vision

Two inner climates contend for expression in every heart. One state speaks from fear, slicing through the air like a sword with every sharpened thought; this is the belief that harm, lack, or danger must be met by forceful words. The other is the wise mind, the tongue of health, born from the awareness of I AM, the ever-present healer within. Proverbs 12:18 is not a warning about others' weapons; it is a reminder of inner alignment. When you utter from the sword, you identify with conflict and project it outward, as if your speech were a weapon you wield. Yet the wise tongue emerges from unity with your inner life; its sound is health because it echoes the life of God within you. If you dare to practice imagining your speech as healing, you reverse the movement. You stop being a conduit of wound and become a vessel of restoration. So awaken to the consciousness that you are the I AM speaking through you; let your words confirm health, and your world will follow the tone of that inner health.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Assume the wise speaker state now and revise a harsh inner sentence into a healing one; feel the health you speak becoming real in your mouth.
