Scripture Focus

9He that walketh uprightly walketh surely: but he that perverteth his ways shall be known.
Proverbs 10:9

Biblical Context

Proverbs 10:9 says that walking uprightly secures you, while perverting your ways leads to exposure; inner alignment becomes outer certainty.

Neville's Inner Vision

To read this proverb through the Goddard lens, the walk is a state of consciousness, not a street you travel. Uprightness is inner alignment with the I AM—awareness that never shifts—so your life moves with certitude, because you are faithful to the truth of who you are. When you pervert your ways—when fear, doubt, or vanity sway your inner dialogue—the inner movement betrays itself, and the outer scene follows suit, revealing the fracture you refuse to own. Therefore, the law is simple: you can be as secure as your inner conviction remains unbroken. The word 'known' is the inner eye recognizing the outer as a faithful mirror. Practice by assuming you are upright now; dwell in the feeling of the I AM as your indwelling governor, and revise any contrary thought until it dissolves. By feeling it real, you align intention and manifestation; the world then bears witness to your inner alignment, and security flows as a natural consequence of your perfected state.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Assume the I AM is the watcher of your steps; feel it real as you walk in inner light, revising any anxious thought by saying, 'I am upright and secure in truth' until it feels natural.
