Biblical Context
Wisdom cries out openly in the world, inviting every mind, especially the simple and the skeptical, to turn toward reproof. When one does, the inner spirit is poured out and understanding is made known.
Neville's Inner Vision
Think of Wisdom as the I AM speaking through your own consciousness, crying out in the streets of your daily thoughts. The verse shows that Wisdom is not distant, but present in the chief places of your mind where choices are formed. When you hear, How long will ye love simplicity? it is your invitation to revise the surface stories you tell about yourself and to choose a higher state. To turn at reproof means to shift your assumptions about who you are. As you practice, imagine the Spirit being poured out into your renewed awareness, so that the words of wisdom become known to you as you live from a clearer, truer state. The more you dwell there, the steadier your choices, kinder your judgments, and the more you remember that truth and faithfulness are your natural condition, not external rules. This awakening reveals the inner teacher within, awaiting your consent to illuminate your life.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, breathe slowly, and hear Wisdom's voice within your own room. Repeat the revision: 'I turn at reproof; the Spirit is poured out within me; I know the words.'
