These verses teach that wisdom and instruction are gifts to be sought. Understanding comes from listening and applying prudent counsel.
Neville's Inner Vision
Proverbs 1:2-6 is not urging you to accumulate facts; it invites you to awaken to the state of wisdom already present in your I AM. To know wisdom and instruction is to recognize that wisdom appears as inner alignment, and understanding as the perception that arises when attention rests in the place where you are aware. Perceive the words of understanding as the subtle movements of consciousness, the quiet whisper that justice, judgment, and equity are your own nature when you assume them as real. The simple and the young man are the undeveloped faculties within you; you sharpen them by assuming knowledge and discretion belong to you now. A wise man will hear, and you, as the awake I AM, will increase learning; a man of understanding shall attain wise counsels as you persist in the inner vision that you already possess the interpretation and the wisdom of the wise. The dark sayings bow to your inner clarity when you stop resisting and let the inner meaning rise as your present reality.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, and assume the state of I AM being wise; repeat 'I AM wisdom' until you feel the inner guidance rise. Then let your next decision reflect this inner counsel.
